Everything You Need To Know About Red Ribbon Week 2019

Red Ribbon Week 2019 Flyer

Red Ribbon Week was created to bring awareness to the dangers of alcohol, tobacco, and drug use. Together we can provide a united effort to maintain a drug-free school and community.

Students and staff are encouraged to participate in theme days to support a drug-free lifestyle. In addition, our school will donate basic supplies and a meal for approximately 300 people at a local homeless shelter, many of whom are suffering from the perils of addiction.

How To Participate

We are also taking this time to give back to the community. Our school will be donating to a local homeless shelter. Participating and giving back is the biggest way we can positively impact our community.

We would appreciate your donations of some of the basic supplies listed below. We will be in front of the school every morning during drop-off to accept your donations. You may also leave any donations in the office.

If you are interested in joining the PTA to deliver supplies and serve food, please let us know. The details have not been finalized. Unfortunately, minors are not allowed to volunteer at the shelter.

Information For Room Moms

All students will be asked to color their own Lego person so that we can decorate the front lawn on Friday. In addition, we are asking each class to create a poster that correlates to the Lego “Building A Brighter Future” theme. One class from each grade will win a prize for the best decorated poster.

Room moms are encouraged to coordinate with the teachers to create the poster for the class and help the teacher have all the students decorate their Lego person.

If you have any questions, please ask via Messenger here. Otherwise, you can ask below and we will do our best to get back to you as soon as possible.
